morning
1. Unpack Book Sack
a. Put all notes/money/material for the teacher, office, or cafeteria in the turn in tray on the teacher's desk. b. Put all homeroom materials (textbooks and notebooks) in the desk. c. Go to lockers and pack all materials needed for the next class: In Pickering HR - pack all Math, Science, and Social Studies books and notebooks. In Hill HR - pack all Reading and Religion books and notebooks. d. Turn in Responsibility Folders (in number order) to the bucket on the back bookshelf. Responsibility Folders are graded every Wednesday and sent home for signatures. (Conduct week starts every Thursday morning) e. Turn in Graded Papers & White envelopes (in number order) to the correct buckets on the back shelf. (Only turn them in when they have been signed by a parent.) Signatures due weekly on Thursday Morning. 2. Morning job helpers will complete their jobs. 3. Work on morning assignment that is posted on the board until it is time to switch classes or until class begins. If you finish early you may read for AR or study for a test. 4. When the teacher gives directions to line up for transition; turn desk around, push chair under, pick up any trash around your desk, and stand silently behind chair to be called to line up. |
Afternoon
1. Move into the classroom and go directly to your
desk quietly. Start afternoon packing procedures. 2. Turn your desk around and unpack materials not needed from your book sack. Place HR class materials in your desk and place 2nd class materials in your locker. 3. Pack materials needed for Homework completion. 4. The Teacher's Assistant will pass out responsibility folders (put it in the first pocket of the expandable folder). 5. Put your color box back in the blue shelf at the back of the room in the correct location. 6. Clean up around your desk and afternoon job helpers will complete their jobs. 7. Listen quietly as the teacher reads the afternoon announcements. 8. Work on homework or read for AR 9. Listen for verbal directions for dismissal. |
